Termite Treatment in Kansas City This Winter

Are you considering a termite treatment in Kansas City this winter? Milberger Pest Control is here to answer your termite treatment questions! Without visual indications of a termite colony, many homeowners may be unaware that a problem exists.

How to Know if You Need Termite Treatment in Kansas City This Winter

If you see discolored or damaged drywall or paint, mud tubes, overly squeaky floorboards, or damaged wood —- these are all signs that termites could be in your home. Milberger can help you take action this winter to prevent further damage.

While it is true that termites are more active during warmer temperatures, we can still treat their colonies, explains the Missouri Pest Management Association.  The colony moves below the frost line, allowing them to continue foraging for food and up into structures while staying protected from the cold. The  Sentricon® system can be installed in any weather condition, even winter. By installing during the winter, you will intercept or eliminate termite colonies as you move into spring.

What is Included in Termite Treatment?

After an inspection by one of our licensed and insured technicians, we will discuss the best treatment options for your home. Milberger offers two top options. We will then schedule a date to begin placement of these systems. After the systems are installed we will create a maintenance plan for you.

Termidor

Termidor® utilizes an advanced nonrepellent, or “undetectable,” liquid technology that termites cannot see, smell, taste, or avoid. A liquid Termidor® treatment is applied with precision along the foundation walls or exterior perimeter of your home. The treatment uses time-tested application methods at very low rates. It is virtually odor-free and won’t cause any disruption to your family’s normal routines.

Sentricon

The Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System not only does away with termites more efficiently than previous methods but also eliminates any type of mess. Sentricon® uses active ingredients only when termites are present, and can detect termites before they enter a structure.

Can You Remain in Your Home During Treatment?

Because they target the pests specifically (and not an entire home like a fumigation approach), both Sentricon and Termidor allow homeowners to remain in your home. We do however, request homeowners stay out of a room where Termidor is applied for 45 minutes, allowing the product time to dry.
